About The New York Yankees Meetup Group

LET'S GO YANKEES! Welcome to the Yankees Meetup Group!

We are a bunch of friendly (and sometimes crazy) Yankees fans! If you have a love for this team (in good times and bad times), this is the group for you. We will meet together to watch the Yankees games at various venues in NYC (mostly bars/restaurants where they have TV's, but of course), maybe go to the stadium together, and in off-season to get together to get ready for the next season.

We are glad to see the group is growing by day. Hopefully this would be one of the biggest Yankees fans' groups. While we are happy to see the group grow, we are also concerned for the group to keep up with its advantages such as friendliness and closeness. Therefore to keep this group a pleasant one, here are few things we'd like to request from all of you.

*Since this is not a commercial site, we do not allow ANY types of solicitation. We certainly do not welcome any members spamming, soliciting, advertising, promoting their own business/site, or any other acts that we feel are improper for this group. If we find the abuse, we will have to remove you as a member.

*Once in a while, you are stuck with the tickets to the game to which you originally intended to go to but aren't able to. We allow you to post a message to sell them to fellow members. HOWEVER, please do not bid, do not scalp. Please sell them at face value or at ACTUAL cost you acquired at (recommending posting the fact - after all, we know how much it is sold directly by the Yankees). We will have to rely on your honesty.

*When we post an event, I would appreciate you RSVPing even if you can't make it (No) or aren't sure (Maybe). If you can add some comments such as the venue is bad, the timing is bad, etc., that would be greatly appreciated as that would help us to plan better future events (which is also beneficial for you). AND if you RSVP'd "Yes", PLEASE do show up.

The bottom line is, we would like to keep this meetup a friendly and a fun place for all Yankees fans and that cannot be accomplished without your help! Let's make this group a harassment free friendly group. We hope to meet many of you at one of these events and of course hope that Yankees will become yet another World Champion!! (but remember, in good times and bad times).
